EXQUISITE CORPSE
This project is called Exquisite Corpse, because of how it was created. The pictures above are snapshots of an animation stop motion film. The story unfolds as a surrealist juxtaposition of quotidian objects and odd actions. As we wrote the story, we alternatively added elements without thinking about continuity but focusing more on visual conflict. We played with multiple mediums, textures and colors. Though the story doesn't make sense at all, the feeling of this epileptic confusion really reflects the rush of what performing a creative act feels like. The relevance of these snapshots in my thesis really struck me as a starting point of what synesthesia feels like for me : a surrealist association of colors, actions, texture, sounds and emotions.
